Story Bridge Incident: Stolen Car Crash Disrupts Afternoon Traffic

A collision involving an allegedly stolen Toyota Yaris on Brisbane's Story Bridge on Friday afternoon led to significant traffic disruption and the closure of northbound lanes.

The incident occurred at approximately 3:00 PM. The vehicle, a Toyota Yaris, was reportedly stolen from Kangaroo Point before it collided with another car on the bridge. The impact of the crash caused the Yaris to overturn.

Following the collision, northbound lanes of the Bradfield Highway on the Story Bridge were closed. This resulted in traffic congestion on the Story Bridge throughout the afternoon. The bridge was fully reopened to traffic around 4:20 PM.

Two individuals in the Corolla, the other vehicle involved in the crash, were assessed by paramedics.
