Official Addresses EV 'Mandate' Claim
An official stated that terminating the endangerment finding would eliminate an electric vehicle "mandate" attributed to his predecessor, former President Joe Biden.
During the Biden administration, Congress enacted legislation designed to expand the nation's electric vehicle charging network and introduced tax incentives aimed at reducing the cost of EVs.
This legislation, however, did not include any provisions that would compel buyers to purchase electric vehicles.
