YouTube App Officially Arrives on Apple Vision Pro
The official YouTube application for visionOS has launched, making it available on the Apple Vision Pro platform. Previously, YouTube was not available natively on Vision Pro since its February 2024 launch.
Google had indicated a Vision Pro app was on its roadmap, suggesting Safari as a temporary solution. In the interim, third-party YouTube apps emerged on the App Store; however, many were later removed following complaints from Google regarding violations of its YouTube guidelines.
Previously, users relied on Safari or third-party apps, many of which were removed due to guideline violations.
Core Functionalities and Content Support
The newly released YouTube app for Apple Vision Pro supports standard YouTube functionalities, including subscriptions, watch history, playlists, and YouTube Shorts. Additionally, it offers support for 3D, 360-degree, and VR180 video content. Users can watch videos within built-in visionOS environments.

Availability
The YouTube app for Apple Vision Pro is being rolled out today on the App Store.
