New TMZ Video Surfaces in Nancy Guthrie Disappearance Investigation
A new video, released by TMZ, shows an individual holding a backpack that reportedly resembles one depicted in surveillance footage previously released by the FBI. The new footage was recorded on February 1, the day Nancy Guthrie disappeared, at a residence located five miles from Guthrie's home.
The new video, captured five miles from Nancy Guthrie's home at 1:53 a.m., offers a potential 19-minute window before a masked individual appeared outside Guthrie's residence at 2:12 a.m.
Harvey Levin, founder of TMZ, stated that the backpack in the new video features reflective stripes. These stripes are notably similar to those on a backpack seen in FBI surveillance footage of a masked individual outside Guthrie’s residence in Tucson.
According to Levin, the person in the new video attempted to open a gate at a residence and then departed at 1:53 a.m. Law enforcement sources cited by Levin indicated that the masked individual appeared outside Guthrie’s home at 2:12 a.m. Levin highlighted that this timeline provides a 19-minute window for the person, if linked to the disappearance, to travel five miles, don a disguise, and arrive at Guthrie’s door.
The FBI is actively investigating this recently surfaced video.
