The #32 Team WRT entry for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour race will feature a special BMW Art Car replica livery. This design pays homage to the 1989 artwork created by Australian artist Ken Done. Done’s original artwork was applied to the BMW M3 Group A, which Jim Richards drove to win the 1987 Australian Touring Car Championship.
Ken Done commented on the artwork's display on the racetrack, stating his inspiration came from the 'brilliance and motion of parrots and parrot fish' to convey speed. He noted Mount Panorama as a powerful location for this effect.
Team WRT achieved a first and second-place finish in the previous year’s Bathurst 12 Hour, with the #32 car finishing ahead of the #46 car. The #46 entry will again include driver Valentino Rossi.
Practice sessions for the 2026 edition of the event are scheduled to commence tomorrow.
