Girl Dies, Boy Hospitalized After ATV Rollover Near Chinchilla

A tragic all-terrain vehicle (ATV) rollover incident on a rural property near Chinchilla, Queensland, has resulted in the death of a five-year-old girl and the hospitalization of a nine-year-old boy. The incident occurred yesterday evening, prompting an immediate response from emergency services and initiating an official investigation.

The five-year-old girl was ejected from the ATV and pronounced deceased at the location.

Incident Details

The incident took place on a property located on Chinchilla-Tara Road in Crossroads, within Queensland's Western Downs. Emergency services were called to the scene yesterday, responding after 6 p.m.

A nine-year-old boy, whom police identified as the driver of the vehicle, was transported to Tara Hospital in stable condition for medical treatment. Chinchilla is situated approximately three-and-a-half hours west of Brisbane.
