An improvised explosive device (IED) detonated at a restaurant near the Las Vegas Strip on Thursday. The incident occurred at Piero's Italian Cuisine, situated across from the city's convention center.
The establishment was unoccupied at the time of the explosion, which took place early Thursday morning. Damage to the property was discovered approximately eight hours later by a cleaning crew, who subsequently notified authorities.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has initiated an investigation into the incident. Authorities are currently searching for two male suspects in connection with the detonation. One of the individuals was observed arriving at the restaurant on a scooter. As of reporting, no public identification or location of the suspects has been announced.
