Spectator James Bray was ejected from Melbourne Park during an Alex de Minaur match on Friday night at the Australian Open. Bray stated via Instagram that security personnel approached him and instructed him to leave the grounds.
Bray claimed his cheering for de Minaur was not disrespectful.
He asserted he cheered as he would for any Australian player and did not cheer during serves or between double faults.
This event follows Bray's earlier media attention for cheering for British player Emma Raducanu during the same tournament.
