Several films nominated for Best Picture at the upcoming Academy Awards are scheduled to return to theaters, with some planned for Imax 70mm screens.

"Sinners," which received 16 Oscar nominations, will return to select Imax 70mm screens. The film was shot with Imax film cameras by director Ryan Coogler. Michael B. Jordan is nominated for Best Actor.

"One Battle After Another," a Paul Thomas Anderson film with 13 Oscar nominations, is also set to return to select Imax 70mm locations. Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro, and Sean Penn received nominations for their performances in this film.

A24 announced that "Marty Supreme," a nine-time Oscar nominee, will have a nationwide Imax run starting January 30. This Josh Safdie film stars Timothée Chalamet.

Netflix's Best Picture contender "Frankenstein" had a brief theatrical re-release before the Oscar nominations were announced. Apple's "F1," a Brad Pitt racing film with four Oscar nominations, is exploring a potential return to Imax 70mm screens.

Imax screens contributed significantly to the domestic box office openings of "Sinners," "One Battle After Another," and "F1," accounting for at least 20% of their initial revenues.
