Reports from England indicate that Chelsea player Cole Palmer is reportedly unsettled at the London club, with speculation suggesting a potential return to Manchester.

Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023 for $79 million AUD. After an initial positive start at Stamford Bridge, he has experienced injuries this season.

According to The Sun, Palmer is not enjoying his current situation in London. The same report suggests a potential return to Manchester City if Pep Guardiola were to depart and be replaced by former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.

Separately, several reports have linked Palmer with a move to Manchester United, the club he supported during his youth. Rene Meulensteen, who worked under Sir Alex Ferguson, expressed the belief that Palmer could join Manchester United if Mauricio Pochettino were appointed as their new manager.

Meulensteen stated, "Palmer is a fantastic player and I think he would suit Manchester United really well and the way they should be playing because he is a difference maker. That’s always what you want." He also noted, "Palmer was a boyhood United fan and it’s actually too strange for words that United never picked up on it."

Sky Sports also reported that Palmer might be open to a return, despite his current contract with Chelsea extending until the end of the 2033 season.
