Former UFC fighter Jairzinho Rozenstruik was arrested in Florida on January 19, facing two domestic violence charges. Online court records indicate his arrest by the Pembroke Pines Police Department, followed by an immigration hold set for 48 hours on January 20.

Rozenstruik faces a third-degree felony charge for false imprisonment, with a bond set at $2,500. A misdemeanor charge for touch or strike/battery/domestic violence was also levied, with a $1,000 bond.

A police report from the Pembroke Pines Police Department states that officers responded to a "suspicious incident" which was identified as a domestic battery. Rozenstruik reportedly made vague allegations that his partner pushed him during an argument, initially stating they had resolved the situation and did not require law enforcement. He claimed his partner pushed him once but did not strike him. Police noted Rozenstruik was uncooperative and his partner had left the residence.

Officers later contacted Rozenstruik's partner, who provided her account of the incident. She stated that during an argument while driving to a storage unit, Rozenstruik allegedly slapped her hand, causing her phone to fall. She claims he struck her hand again after she retrieved the phone. She attempted to exit the vehicle, at which point Rozenstruik allegedly grabbed her arm to prevent her from leaving. She reported punching Rozenstruik multiple times in the head in self-defense. The report indicates she remained in the vehicle, and after Rozenstruik parked, he attempted to kiss her. Upon her refusal and calling him "a nasty beast," Rozenstruik allegedly bit her right bicep. She further claimed that after he moved the car to a new location, she again attempted to exit, and he allegedly grabbed her arm, preventing her departure. She stated she punched him again in self-defense, causing him to release her arm, before she took her purse and left the vehicle.

Police observed a visible bite mark on her right bicep, redness on both forearms, and a red scratch/bruise mark under her right eye, which were photographed. The report notes Rozenstruik was uncooperative, changed his account multiple times, and withheld information during the investigation. Based on these factors, police determined probable cause existed that Rozenstruik was the primary aggressor and committed the alleged crimes. He was subsequently arrested without incident.

Rozenstruik, 37, competed in the UFC heavyweight division for six years, securing wins against opponents such as Andrei Arlovski, Junior dos Santos, and Alistair Overeem.
