Season Review
In head coach Ben Johnson’s first season, the Chicago Bears achieved an 11-6 record and won their division. The team advanced to the divisional round of the playoffs before being defeated 20-17 in overtime by the Rams.
Coach Johnson's Statement
During a recent press conference, Coach Johnson addressed the team's performance and future outlook. He redirected focus from their 2025 season achievements, stating that the team's unsuccessful Super Bowl bid means they are among 31 teams that did not win the championship. Johnson underscored that the gains made during the previous season are not automatically carried over.
Emphasis on Fundamentals
Johnson conveyed a message of starting anew, stating:
"There is no building off of this. We go back to square one. We’re back at the bottom again. If you feel otherwise, you’re probably missing the big picture. We’ve gotta start from scratch, we’ve gotta start with the fundamentals."
