Teen Dies After Narre Warren South Collision, Child Critical in Separate Werribee Incident

A 16-year-old boy has died a week after being struck by a vehicle in Narre Warren South, while a four-year-old girl remains in critical condition following a separate pedestrian collision in Werribee. Victoria Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding both incidents and have appealed for public assistance.

Narre Warren South Collision Results in Fatality

On Friday, February 13, a 16-year-old boy was involved in a collision with a vehicle on Pound Road, Narre Warren South, at approximately 4:30 PM. Police reported that the vehicle left the road, collided with the teenager, and subsequently struck a tree.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, mobile intensive care ambulance, and advanced life support paramedics, responded to the scene. The Narre Warren South boy was transported to a hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Victoria Police confirmed that the boy passed away in hospital on the following Friday.

The driver of the vehicle, a 48-year-old local woman, sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital for assessment.

Werribee Collision Critically Injures Child

Separately, a four-year-old child sustained life-threatening injuries after a vehicle struck pedestrians in Werribee, Melbourne's west. The incident occurred at the intersection of Synnot Street and Wedge Street South just after 11:00 AM.

The four-year-old girl was transported to the Royal Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 35-year-old female pedestrian was also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two additional pedestrians at the scene were not injured in the collision.

The driver of the vehicle, a 58-year-old woman, was not injured and remained at the scene following the incident.

Authorities are conducting ongoing investigations into the exact circumstances of both collisions.
