The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly commencing a second round of interviews for their head coaching position.
Brian Flores, the Vikings defensive coordinator, is scheduled for an in-person interview. Flores previously served as a defensive assistant for the Steelers during the 2022 season.
Anthony Weaver, the Dolphins defensive coordinator, is also anticipated to conduct an in-person interview with the team. According to NFL regulations, all interviews with coaches currently employed by an NFL team must be conducted virtually until after the divisional round of the playoffs.
Reports additionally indicate that the Steelers plan to meet with former Cowboys and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy.
The team has previously interviewed several candidates, including Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula, Rams pass game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase, Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter, Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, and 49ers offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak.
Shula and Scheelhaase will be available for second interviews following the NFC Championship Game.
