Kianna Underwood, a 33-year-old former Nickelodeon child star, died in a hit-and-run incident in New York on Friday, according to law enforcement officials.
Incident Details
According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), Underwood was struck by a black Ford Explorer SUV while crossing an intersection in Brooklyn's Brownsville neighborhood. Subsequently, while on the street, she was hit by a black and gray sedan. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities stated that both drivers fled the scene and remain unidentified. The investigation is ongoing.
Career Background
Underwood had a career in entertainment, starring in seven episodes of Nickelodeon's 'All That' in 2005. From 1999 to 2004, she voiced Fuschia Glover in the Nick Jr. series 'Little Bill.' She also performed as Little Inez in the first national tour of 'Hairspray.'
