Michał Nowakowski, joint CEO of CD Projekt Red, announced that every mainline entry in The Witcher franchise has sold over 10 million copies. This update offers information on the commercial performance of the earlier titles in the series.
Nowakowski shared these sales figures on X, responding to a list of successful Polish video games compiled by Michał Król. The list indicated The Witcher 3 with 60 million units sold, Cyberpunk 2077 with 35 million, and Dying Light with 20 million.
Key sales figures for The Witcher series include:
- The original Witcher game: 10 million units sold
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings: 15 million units sold
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: 60 million units sold
The core Witcher trilogy's total sales exceed 85 million units worldwide. The combined performance of the mainline games places the entire Witcher franchise near the 100 million-unit sales mark. The studio is also developing a new Witcher trilogy and a remake of the first game. A fourth DLC for The Witcher 3 is reportedly being considered.
