Coolmore consigned the first foal of Group II winner Vangelic, which was the highest-selling item during Friday's final Book 1 session at Magic Millions. The bay colt was purchased by Waller Racing/Mulcaster Bloodstock for $1.5 million.

The colt's pedigree includes champion New Zealand sires Pins and Zabeel through its female line, and it features a double cross of Danehill and Snippets.

Guy Mulcaster commented on the colt's appearance and potential, stating, "He looked really sharp and he did really well through the prep. He looks an early runner and he moves beautifully." Regarding the price, Mulcaster added, "I think what we paid for him is pretty well on the mark. It is a hell of a lot of money but that’s what they seem to cost and when you get a good colt that can go to stud, they look cheap."

Vangelic, by Golden Slipper winner Vancouver, earned nearly $1.5 million, including a victory in the Group II ATC Golden Pendant and G1 placings. Tom Magnier acquired Vangelic for $1.5 million at the 2023 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale. After not conceiving in 2024, she was sent to Kentucky for covering by Justify last year.
