Police are appealing for public assistance to identify a man involved in an assault on a woman in Hawthorn, Melbourne, in late 2025.
Incident Details
On November 20, 2025, at approximately 10:30 PM, a 35-year-old woman was walking her dog on Riversdale Road, Hawthorn. As she reached the corner of Kooyongkoot Road, an unknown man approached her, demanded money, then punched her before fleeing on foot.
The woman sustained minor injuries. The man was last observed running east on Riversdale Road towards Camberwell.
Suspect Description
The man is described as:
- Caucasian in appearance
- Aged in his 40s
- Approximately 180cm tall
- Of medium build
- Possessing short, dark hair
- Having brown, glazed eyes
- Wearing a black hoodie, dirty light grey pants, and no shoes at the time of the assault.
Public Appeal
