Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey, known for their roles as Glinda and Fiyero in the recent Wicked film adaptation, are scheduled to reunite for a revival of the musical Sunday in the Park with George. The production is slated for London's Barbican Theatre in summer 2027.
The actors teased the announcement through Instagram, posting a photo in front of the Georges Seurat painting that inspired the musical, along with lyrics from the show.
Sunday in the Park with George draws inspiration from French painter Georges Seurat's A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte. The original musical, created by US composer Stephen Sondheim and playwright James Lapine, premiered on Broadway in 1984.
While their specific roles for the revival have not been confirmed, the musical's female lead is Dot, the lover of the fictional artist Georges.
Tickets for the revival are expected to go on sale in May. Grande is also scheduled to perform 10 dates at London's The O2 in August and September 2026 as part of her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
