Bafta Rising Star Award Nominees

The nominees for the Bafta EE Rising Star Award have been announced. This award is the only Bafta film prize determined by public vote. The winner will be revealed at the Bafta Film Awards ceremony in February.

Nominee Profiles

Robert Aramayo

Aramayo is nominated for his role in "I Swear," where he portrayed a young man with Tourette's syndrome in the 1980s. The film is based on the real-life experiences of John Davidson. Aramayo, 33, graduated from the Juilliard School and previously appeared as a young Ned Stark in "Game of Thrones."

Miles Caton

Caton, 20, received nominations for his performance as Sammie in "Sinners," including a Critics' Choice Award for best young actor and an Actor Awards nomination for best supporting actor. He is the son of gospel singer Timiney Figueroa and has toured as a backing singer for H.E.R. "Sinners" is his only film role to date.

Chase Infiniti

Infiniti, 25, stars opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in her breakthrough role as Willa in "One Battle After Another." She also appeared in the Apple TV+ legal thriller "Presumed Innocent" alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Infiniti graduated with a BFA in Theatre Arts from Columbia College Chicago in 2022.

Archie Madekwe

Madekwe is nominated for his role in "Lurker," a psychological thriller where he plays an up-and-coming pop star. He has also featured in films such as "Saltburn" and "Midsommar." Madekwe is an alumnus of the Brit School and had early roles in Channel 4 sitcoms.

Posy Sterling

Sterling, from Manchester, is nominated for "Lollipop," in which she portrays a single mother battling for custody of her children after being released from prison. Her performance earned her the British Independent Film Award for breakthrough performance. This marks her first leading feature film role, following appearances in TV dramas like "The Road Trip" and "You Don't Know Me."
