An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with an incident that led to a police response in Pinjarra, a town south of Perth, Western Australia.
Police received reports of an individual with a firearm on Tuesday morning. This prompted the deployment of officers from the Tactical Response Group to the location. Approximately 20 officers and 12 police vehicles were dispatched.
Officers conducted searches throughout the town, blocking roads and inspecting properties.
The 18-year-old man, identified as being from Lakelands, was apprehended later on Tuesday afternoon. He faces charges that include being armed in a manner capable of causing fear, aggravated home burglary, stealing, and breaching bail conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
