Windows 11 Version 26H2 Confirmed for Late 2026

Microsoft has officially confirmed that Windows 11 version 26H2 is scheduled for release to the general public in late 2026, with an anticipated rollout around October. This significant update is designed for users currently on Windows 11 25H2 or 24H2, maintaining Microsoft's consistent annual feature update cadence. Notably, version 26H1 is designated exclusively for new Snapdragon X2 and other ARM-based CPUs, serving as a platform-specific update.

Confirmation of 26H2 emerged on January 27, 2026, with the release of Windows 11 Build 26300.7674 to Windows Insiders. This build included explicit references to a "Windows 11 26H2 enablement package," signaling ongoing behind-the-scenes platform changes and testing.

Anticipated features for Windows 11 during 2026 include:
