Memory and SSD prices have previously increased due to demand from the AI sector. Power supplies and CPU cooling solutions are now projected to experience price increases, according to reports from China.

Guangzhou Xinhong Zhengdian Electronic Technology issued a notice indicating that rising raw material costs are impacting operating expenses. The company noted that prices for key upstream materials, including copper, silver, and tin, have increased in recent months due to global market conditions. These materials are essential for manufacturing PC power supplies and cooling solutions, leading to higher production costs.

Upstream suppliers reportedly informed the company that new orders placed after January 6 are being processed at updated, higher prices. Consequently, power supplies are expected to see price adjustments ranging from 6% to 10%. Heatsink prices, which affect CPU coolers, are projected to increase by 6% to 8%.

Additionally, the notice stated that all promotional pricing policies will be discontinued starting February 1, 2026. This means existing discounts and special pricing will no longer be valid, and over 90% of products are anticipated to receive an additional per-item price increase beyond the return to standard pricing.
