The redesigned YouTube TV Live Guide is now being widely rolled out to Android and iOS applications.
Previously, the Live tab presented a simple list with the active channel preview at the top of the screen.
The updated mobile Live Guide is consistent with the version introduced on televisions in 2023. It enhances information density and functionality. Channel icons are now located on the left side, and users can view upcoming programs by swiping. A "Jump to live" button is available at the bottom for quick navigation.
YouTube TV displays program duration and remaining time. A "Sort" menu is accessible in the top-left corner.
To view a channel preview, users can long-press on a program. This action also reveals a description and options including:
- Add to library
- Set a reminder
- Go to [program]
- Go to [channel]
This preview appears as a floating sheet. The YouTube TV app has not yet fully adopted YouTube's most recent design language, with the Library and Home tabs and the bottom bar's icon set remaining in their older states.
Users who have not yet received the Live Guide redesign should ensure their YouTube TV app is updated to the latest version on Android or iOS, then force stop and restart the application.
