St Kilda has issued a fitness update on several key players as the new season approaches. Football boss Lenny Hayes provided information regarding Tom De Koning, Jack Silvagni, and Max King.
Tom De Koning Update
New recruit Tom De Koning is still completing recovery milestones after experiencing a calf issue during his pre-season. He has returned to training and is building fitness. The club is confident about his potential availability for the Opening Round match against Collingwood on March 8, stating he is "progressing really well" and "confident he will be thereabouts."
Jack Silvagni Update
Jack Silvagni, another off-season recruit, is set to return to full training by the end of the month after managing a groin issue. Hayes confirmed the club's support for Silvagni and his family during a challenging period. Silvagni is expected to contribute leadership to the team's backline.
Max King Update
Key forward Max King is also expected to resume full training in the coming weeks. He underwent knee surgery last month, marking another setback for an issue that kept him out of the entire previous season (2024). King is back running and is anticipated to join full training by the end of the current month or early next month.
