Following the game on Saturday night, Bears coach Ben Johnson offered a brief handshake to Packers coach Matt LaFleur. Johnson's subsequent comments suggested a personal investment in the game's outcome.
A video shared by the Bears showed Johnson shouting expletives about the Packers in the postgame locker room.
During his postgame press conference, Johnson attributed his emotional state to "noise" originating from the Packers organization, which he stated was a point of contention for the Bears. Johnson commented, "There was probably a little bit more noise coming out of their building up north to start the week, which we heard loud and clear, players and coaches alike. So this one meant something to us."
Johnson did not specify the nature of the comments from the Packers. He expressed enthusiasm about defeating the Bears' rival, in what was described as his most significant win as a head coach.
