The Federal Reserve Board announced on Friday the designation of chairs and deputy chairs for the 12 Federal Reserve Banks for the year 2026.
Each Reserve Bank is governed by a nine-member board of directors, which includes a diverse representation of business and community leaders from their respective regional districts. By legal mandate, the Board of Governors in Washington appoints three of these directors to represent the public interest within the district. Annually, the Board designates one of its appointees as the chair and another as the deputy chair.
The designated chairs and deputy chairs for 2026 are as follows:
- Boston: Lizanne Kindler (KnitWell Group) as Chair, Tim Sweeney (Liberty Mutual Insurance) as Deputy Chair.
- New York: Pat Wang (Healthfirst) renamed Chair, Rajiv J. Shah, M.D. (The Rockefeller Foundation) renamed Deputy Chair.
- Philadelphia: William Lo (Crystal Steel Fabricators, Inc.) named Chair, Kisha Hortman Hawthorne (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) named Deputy Chair.
- Cleveland: Richard J. Kramer (formerly The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.) named Chair, Fred Hargett (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center) named Deputy Chair.
- Richmond: Lisa M. Lawson (The Annie E. Casey Foundation) renamed Chair, Halsey M. Cook (Milliken & Company) renamed Deputy Chair.
- Atlanta: Gregory A. Haile (Upwardly Global) renamed Chair, James O. Etheredge (formerly Accenture North America) renamed Deputy Chair.
- Chicago: Jennifer F. Scanlon (UL Solutions Inc.) renamed Chair, Maurice Smith (Health Care Service Corporation) named Deputy Chair.
- St. Louis: Lal Karsanbhai (Emerson Electric Co.) named Chair, Gregory A. Heckman (Bunge Global SA) named Deputy Chair.
- Minneapolis: Paul D. Williams (Williams Community Supports) named Chair, Jay Debertin (CHS, Inc.) named Deputy Chair.
- Kansas City: Jandel Allen-Davis, M.D. (Craig Hospital) named Chair, Paul Maass (Scoular) named Deputy Chair.
- Dallas: Claudia Aguirre (BakerRipley) renamed Chair, Gary C. Kelly (Southwest Airlines) renamed Deputy Chair.
- San Francisco: Russell A. Childs (SkyWest, Inc.) renamed Chair, Pallavi Mehta Wahi (Arnold & Porter) renamed Deputy Chair.
