Actress Michelle Randolph has been cast as the female lead in the upcoming Amazon MGM Studios film, Clashing Through The Snow. She will star opposite Christopher Briney, known for The Summer I Turned Pretty. Carlson Young, director of Upgraded, is set to direct the production. The film is described as a contemporary version of Planes, Trains & Automobiles. Filming is scheduled to commence next month, marking Randolph's first co-starring role in a feature film.
Randolph currently appears as Ainsley Norris in the Paramount+ series Landman, which also features Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Ali Larter, and Jon Hamm. Previously, she had a role in the Paramount+ Western series 1923, alongside Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, a show nominated for Best Drama Series at the 2024 Golden Globes. Her upcoming projects include Scream 7.
The screenplay for Clashing Through The Snow was written by Daniel Mackey and Rebecca Ewing, who also penned the Netflix film Love Hard. Production is handled by Wonderland Sound and Vision partners McG and Mary Viola, along with Lena Roklin of Luber Roklin Entertainment. Kyle Luker of Industry Entertainment and filmmaker Ari Sandel are executive producing.
Lena Roklin has a history of collaborations with Amazon MGM, with Clashing Through The Snow being her sixth project with the studio.
