Kate Gosselin Responds to Son Collin's Abuse Allegations

Kate Gosselin has addressed recent allegations made by her son, Collin, who claims she deliberately fractured her family of eight children and pitted them against one another. The former reality TV star responded to comments on her social media posts, defending herself against the accusations.

In her TikTok comments, Gosselin stated that as a public figure, she faces different legal standards that prevent her from suing for defamation, and noted that proving malice in such cases is difficult. She also suggested that only parents of mentally ill children can truly understand her situation, adding a deeply personal dimension to her rebuttal.

Collin's Accusations

Collin, now 22, has reiterated his allegations on Instagram, stating that his mother wrote in her own diary about hitting him when he was just two years old. He first publicly spoke out in 2022, claiming that Gosselin sent him to a psychiatric hospital at age 12 to prevent him from revealing alleged abuse.

Collin later went to live with his father, who was awarded full custody in 2018. Both Collin and his sister Hannah remain estranged from their mother and most of their siblings.

Upcoming Memoir
