Flipper Devices Announces Busy Bar Productivity Multitool Will Launch July 14, 2025

The company behind the viral Flipper Zero has unveiled a new device with a very different purpose: reducing distractions, not causing them.

Flipper Devices announced that the Busy Bar, a desk or wall-mounted productivity multitool, will be available for purchase starting July 14, 2025. First announced in April 2025, the device is designed to display status messages to nearby individuals, signaling that the user does not wish to be disturbed.

"The Busy Bar is totally disconnected from the company's previous devices, as it does not have hacking capabilities."
— Callum Tennent, Creative Writer, Flipper Devices

Company Background

Flipper Devices previously released the Flipper Zero, a portable wireless multitool that gained popularity on TikTok in 2022. The device was known for its ability to detect wireless frequencies and potentially break RFID-controlled locks, which raised security concerns.

These concerns led Canada to propose a ban on the device, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection to briefly seize 15,000 units before releasing them. Flipper is also currently developing a more advanced model, the Flipper One.

In a notable departure from its controversial predecessor, Flipper's creative writer Callum Tennent emphasized that the Busy Bar is "totally disconnected" from the company's previous devices, as it does not include any hacking capabilities.
