Samsung's Ballie robot, initially announced for a retail launch less than a year prior, was not displayed at CES 2026. This absence follows its consistent appearances at CES events since its initial unveiling in 2020.
In a statement provided to Bloomberg, Samsung described Ballie as an “active innovation platform.” The company further stated that the robot “continues to inform how Samsung designs spatially aware, context-driven experiences, particularly in areas like smart home intelligence, ambient AI and privacy-by-design.” The statement did not specify any plans for a consumer release.
CES 2026 featured various AI robots, including the CLOiD robot from Samsung's competitor, LG. Ballie is characterized as a spherical, yellow robot, comparable in size to a soccer ball, equipped with a built-in projector and Google Gemini integration.
