15-Year-Old Boy Charged with Abduction of 17-Year-Old Girl in Melbourne

A 15-year-old boy has been charged following the alleged abduction of a 17-year-old girl from a school in Melbourne's south-east.

The incident occurred on Friday, the last day of the Victorian school term. At approximately 8:30 am, the 17-year-old girl was entering Keysborough Secondary College's Banksia Campus, located on Janine Road in Springvale South. Police allege the boy forced the girl into a vehicle and drove away.

Investigation and Arrest

The two individuals are believed to be known to each other. The boy was located by special operations group officers at an address on Jezebel Way in Tarneit, approximately 55 kilometers from the school, around midday. He was arrested at that location.

Charges and Legal Proceedings

The 15-year-old boy has been charged with abduction. He was scheduled to appear before a children's court on Saturday.

Aftermath

The 17-year-old girl was taken to a hospital following the incident.
