Hundreds of solar-powered Bluetooth speakers, playing unsettling audio, were discovered planted on a mountainside on Mount Shasta, California.

A woman and her daughter stumbled upon the strange array while horseback riding on Tuesday. The speakers, found scattered across private land near California Government Lands, were emitting a disturbing mix of sounds, including white noise, a sermon about salvation, and screaming.

The discovery was confirmed through mapping software, which identified the location as private property. The woman, whose identity has not been released, stated that she has no knowledge of who placed the devices or why.

Mount Shasta is a region steeped in local legends and is considered sacred by several Indigenous tribes, adding an eerie layer of mystery to the incident. Authorities have not yet commented on the origin or purpose of the speakers.
