MS Australia & MS Nurses Launch New Resource for People Living with MS
"Back on Track" focuses on early diagnosis and coping with changes from an MS diagnosis.
MS Australia and MS Nurses Australasia have launched 'Back on Track,' a new video and audio resource designed specifically for people living with multiple sclerosis.
Developed from expert research, the resource was created based on work by Dr. Therese Burke. It is delivered by four MS nurses who bring over 140 years of combined experience to the guidance.
Expanding Access to Care
The resource is designed to expand access to MS nurse guidance, particularly for those who do not have direct access to a nurse. It helps individuals manage the early stages of diagnosis and adapt to life changes that come with the condition.
New Educational Course for Professionals
MS Australia has also launched the Foundations of MS Nursing Course, an introductory program for new MS nurses and other healthcare professionals. The course covers fundamentals, diagnosis, symptom management, and therapies.
Record-Breaking Fundraising
In related news, the May50K fundraising event raised over $1.9 million for MS research. Donations for The May50K remain open until 30 June.
