Nikon Introduces Nikkor Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1 Zoom Lens
Nikon has announced the Nikkor Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1 zoom lens, designed for Nikon full-frame mirrorless cameras. This lens will be available independently and as part of a kit with the Nikon Z5 II camera, offering an additional configuration option.
Lens Specifications and Features
The 24-105mm f/4-7.1 lens has a construction of 12 elements in 10 groups, including one extra-low dispersion glass element and two aspherical elements. Its dimensions are approximately 2.9 inches by 4.2 inches, and it weighs 12.4 ounces (350 grams). The lens is equipped with a 67mm front filter thread.
Key features include:
- A customizable control ring, assignable to focus, aperture, exposure compensation, or ISO sensitivity.
- A minimum focusing distance of 7.9 inches (0.2 meters) at the wide-angle end and 11 inches (0.28 meters) at the telephoto end.
- A maximum reproduction ratio of 0.5× at focal lengths between 70mm and 105mm, which Nikon states supports close-up shooting.
- A stepping motor (STM) focusing system, described by Nikon as delivering fast and quiet autofocusing.

The Nikkor Z 24-105mm f/4-7.1 lens is scheduled for availability in mid-January 2026 at a price of $549.95.
