Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Watch 9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 at its Galaxy Unpacked event on July 22, 2026. The new devices succeed the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, respectively. No new Galaxy Watch Classic model was released.
Launch and Pricing
The Galaxy Watch 9 starts at $379.99 for the Bluetooth model and $429.99 for the LTE model. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 starts at $699.99. Both models are currently available for pre-order.

Design and Color Options
Galaxy Watch 9
- Case colors: light silver, dark silver, and near-black.
- Band options include Classic Sport Band (Beige, Blue, Green, Yellow), Sport Band (Black, Blue, Green, Yellow), and Hybrid Band (Beige, Black, Brown, Gray).
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2
- Boxier design with thinner display bezels.
- Numbers (1-12) added along the bezel.
- The button accent features an orange outline instead of a fully orange coating. Accent colors have been removed from the two additional buttons, and there is increased separation between the buttons.
- The band design has been updated with an "Ultra" wordmark.
- Band options include a Marine Band (silicone in Beige, Black, Blue, Green, Orange) and a Trail Band (Black, Blue, Orange).
Software and Features
Both watches run Wear OS 7 with Samsung's One UI 9 Watch. Samsung has confirmed both models will receive five years of Wear OS updates, including major OS upgrades and security patches. This extends the previous four-year support period.
