Klipsch introduced its next generation of powered standmount speakers—The Fives II, The Sevens II, and The Nines II—at the annual CES showcase. These new models are released as part of Klipsch's 80th-anniversary commemoration and integrate Klipsch's audio design with engineering from Onkyo.
Acoustic System Updates
The updated speaker range features a re-engineered acoustic system. This system includes a new BMC baffle with Klipsch’s Tractrix horn design and redesigned woofers. These modifications are intended to provide wider sonic dispersion and a more defined bass response.
- The Fives II: Incorporates a 25mm titanium tweeter and a 13cm Jet Cerametallic woofer.
- The Sevens II: Features a 25mm titanium tweeter and a 16.5cm Cerametallic woofer.
- The Nines II: Equipped with a 25mm titanium tweeter and a 20cm Cerametallic woofer.
Connectivity and Features
The new speakers are designed for integration into both audio and AV systems.
- Dolby Atmos and DTS:X Support: Dolby Atmos is supported across the entire range, with The Nines II additionally offering DTS:X surround technology.
- Room Correction: The Sevens II and The Nines II models include Dirac Live room correction capabilities.
- Wireless Streaming: Supported platforms include Google Cast, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz Connect, and standard Bluetooth connectivity.
- High-Resolution Audio: All models are Roon Ready and support hi-res audio playback up to 24-bit/96kHz.
- Speaker Linking: The Sevens II and The Nines II offer an optional wireless connection between left and right speakers.
- Physical Inputs: Connections include HDMI 2.1, HDMI eARC, optical, coaxial, and analog inputs. A subwoofer output is present on all models. A built-in phono stage is also included for turntable integration. The Nines II additionally features XLR inputs.
Control and Availability
Control for the new range is managed via the Klipsch Connect Plus app, which provides access to sound customization, Dirac room control, and input selection. Each model also features top-panel metal controls, including a volume wheel and source selection buttons, along with a remote control.
Pricing and Release Date
The new Klipsch powered speakers are scheduled for release in Spring 2026 and will be available in red oak, walnut, or ebony finishes. Prices per pair are as follows:
