The New York Knicks won their first NBA championship since 1973, with guard Jalen Brunson playing a key role in the historic run.
In summer 2024, Brunson signed a four-year, $156.6 million contract instead of a five-year, $269 million extension, forgoing approximately $113 million to give the team financial flexibility.
