Human remains discovered in Seven Hills believed to be missing woman Nadire Sensoy
SYDNEY — Human remains believed to be those of Nadire Sensoy, a 71-year-old woman missing since December 2018, were discovered on Thursday in a shallow grave on Powers Road in Seven Hills, approximately 100 meters from a creek bed.
The discovery was made by police excavating an area of interest. Her son, Selim Sensoy, was arrested in 2023 and is currently before the courts. Police allege the murder was domestic violence-related.
Superintendent Darrin Batchelor stated that the family experienced mixed emotions upon the discovery. The remains have been transferred to the coroner, and further charges may be filed.
A reward of $350,000 remains available for information surrounding the death.
