US Embassy Warns of Airspace Activity as Iran Claims Strike on Jordan Base
The US Embassy in Jordan issued a warning about reports of missiles, drones, or rockets in Jordanian airspace. Jordanian state media did not immediately acknowledge the reports.
Al-Azraq Air Base Targeted
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it targeted US aircraft at Jordan's al-Azraq air base with 12 ballistic missiles. The IRGC stated it aimed at key US military facilities at the base and its control center.
No Official Confirmation
US Central Command has not commented on the incident.
Previous Attack Details
On a prior occasion, CNN reported that Iran targeted Al-Azraq and claimed to have damaged F-35 hangars at the base. However, a US military official told CNN that the attack did not cause significant damage, no US personnel were harmed, and nearly all missiles or drones were intercepted or did not reach their target.
