Braden Montgomery's Debut
Braden Montgomery, an outfield prospect for the Chicago White Sox, made his MLB debut on Tuesday.
In his second at-bat, he recorded his first hit, a single.
In the 10th inning, with two outs and the tying run on third base, Montgomery hit a walk-off home run, becoming the fifth player in MLB history to hit a walk-off home run in their debut.
Ronald Acuna Jr.'s Injury
Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. exited Tuesday's game against the White Sox due to left hamstring tightness while running out a ground ball.
Manager Walt Weiss described the injury as less severe than a previous hamstring issue that sidelined Acuna for two weeks in early May. Acuna is scheduled for an MRI and is considered day-to-day, with an IL stint not currently anticipated.
Oakland Athletics Home Run Streak
The Athletics hit five home runs on Tuesday in Las Vegas, bringing their two-game total to 12, tying the franchise record for most home runs in a two-game span.
Outfielder Henry Bolte hit his first career home run in the second inning.
