Fortaleza, BrazilThe United States women's national team secured a historic 1-0 victory over Brazil on Tuesday, marking their first win on Brazilian soil since 1997.

The match was defined by an extraordinary number of disciplinary actions. Brazil head coach Arthur Elias was shown a red card in the 78th minute. During play, Brazilian players Bia Zaneratto and Kerolin were also sent off, and after the final whistle, Tarciane and Ludmila received red cards as well. Several Brazilian staff members were also ejected.

The only goal of the match came in the 63rd minute, an own goal by Brazil defender Isabela following a shot by US forward Sophia Wilson.

This win breaks a 26-year drought for the USWNT in Brazil, underscoring the intensity and physicality of the contest.
