Casting News: Nicholas Galitzine to Play Supermodel Hoyt Richards in New Film

Nicholas Galitzine, the star of The Idea of You and Red, White and Royal Blue, has been cast to portray former male supermodel Hoyt Richards in a new feature film. Academy Award-nominated director Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, Milk) is in negotiations to direct the project, according to multiple sources.

No other cast or creative attachments have been announced, and specific details regarding the film's narrative focus have not been disclosed.

Background on Hoyt Richards

Hoyt Richards was a dominant figure in the fashion industry during the late 1980s and early 1990s, recognized as one of the first modern male supermodels. He walked the runways and shot campaigns alongside icons like Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell.

His professional credits include campaigns for Gianni Versace, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Cartier, and Donna Karan. Richards was photographed by legendary artists such as Richard Avedon and Bruce Weber.

However, Richards' personal history has recently drawn significant media attention. The HBO docuseries Bring Me the Beauties details his involvement with a group led by Frederich von Mierers.

According to reports, von Mierers helped Richards enter the fashion industry and claimed to be an alien consciousness in human form. Richards reportedly donated millions to von Mierers' organization, Eternal Values, while continuing his modeling career.
