Google Photos Adds Dedicated "Stickers" Folder on Android

Google is rolling out a dedicated "Stickers" folder within the Collections tab of Google Photos for Android, bringing the feature to parity with iOS.

The update, distributed with version 7.78 of the application, allows users to save and reuse custom stickers created from their own photos. The feature has been available on iOS devices since January.

Where to Find It

The new Stickers folder appears in the Collections tab, located after the Places map. It displays all user-created stickers in a reverse-chronological grid view.

Key Functionality

  • Tapping a sticker opens a bottom sheet with a larger preview, providing delete and copy options.
  • The copy function activates the corner preview and grants access to the system share sheet.
  • Stickers are created by long-pressing on an image.
  • Users may see an in-app prompt stating: "Stickers you create are automatically saved inside Collections."

Rollout and Background

The rollout is gradual; some users may not see the folder immediately. The Stickers folder is included in Google Photos version 7.78 for Android.

Google Photos first introduced a dedicated sticker folder for iOS in January. Stickers were initially added to the iPhone and iPad in August 2025. The current Android rollout achieves feature parity between the Android and iOS versions of Google Photos.

This capability is considered a replacement for Pixel Studio, which is being phased out for Google devices.
