Browns Trade Garrett to Rams in Blockbuster Deal
The Cleveland Browns traded defensive end Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams on Monday. In exchange, the Rams sent edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a conditional 2029 third-round pick to the Browns.
Garrett will face the Washington Commanders in Week 9 at Northwest Stadium. He primarily lines up over the left tackle, setting up a matchup with Commanders left tackle Laremy Tunsil.
Old Rivals, Renewed Battle
Washington Commanders left tackle Laremy Tunsil said on the podcast "Strong Talk" published by Men's Health Magazine:
"Myles Garrett is the best defensive player in the NFL. I’ve been playing against Myles since he was a freshman in college and that had to be, like, (2014). We’ve been battling ever since."
Tunsil also noted that he and Garrett have mutual respect and that he looks forward to their Week 9 matchup.
Myles Garrett, on the Chasing 10 Fishing show with Randy Moss, said that Tunsil is the last player who made him feel frustrated.
