Louise Bloomfield, a Hobart alderman and accountant, has officially announced her candidacy for lord mayor in the upcoming October local government elections.

Background

Born in Hobart, Bloomfield runs her own accounting firm, Bloomfield & Associates. She founded the Confederation of Greater Hobart Business in 2021 and was elected to the council in 2022. She currently chairs the city economy, access advisory, and safer Hobart alliance committees.
