A.J. Brown Joins Patriots Practice, Clears Health Concerns

A.J. Brown, the newly acquired wide receiver for the New England Patriots, passed his physical and participated in team practice for the first time on Tuesday. The Patriots have reported no concerns regarding Brown's health, and the player himself has stated he has no worries about his condition.

"No injury, nothing to worry about. I’m good. I’m ready to go."

Background

A report in April indicated that the Los Angeles Rams had considered trading for Brown until concerns about his knee led them to pass. Brown injured his right knee in the 2020 season opener against the Denver Broncos and subsequently missed one game. He also underwent minor cleanup surgery on both knees in 2021.

Brown's Response

Brown addressed the narrative surrounding his knees directly, saying: "You got to understand where I came from, so any conversation about anything is going to come up." He pointed to his track record, noting that in roughly four years, he has missed only one game—due to a direct shot to the knee. "So that’s nothing to worry about. I’m good. I’m ready to go."

When asked how much he believes he has left in his career, Brown offered a succinct reply: "You’ll see."
