Cleveland Browns Trade Myles Garrett to Los Angeles Rams

In a blockbuster move, the Browns send their star pass rusher to the NFC in exchange for Jared Verse and multiple high draft picks.

The Cleveland Browns have traded defensive end Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for defensive end Jared Verse and multiple high draft picks, according to reports discussed during the Cincinnati Bengals' first organized team activity practice on Monday.

Garrett, who holds the NFL record for single-season sacks, will move from the AFC North to the NFC. Verse, the 2024 Defensive Rookie of the Year, will join the Browns.

Player and Team Reactions

Members of the Cincinnati Bengals, a division rival of the Browns, offered comments on the trade.

Quarterback Joe Flacco, who was sacked by Garrett and later became his teammate in Cleveland, said, "Good for us."

Offensive tackle Amarius Mims said, "It's huge when you get a guy like Myles Garrett, a future Hall of Famer. It's going to be a buzz. Congrats to those guys."

Offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. said, "It doesn't matter. You still have to go win on Sundays. Congrats to Myles. That's how I feel. We still have to go win."

Impact on Division Alignment

The trade removes Garrett as a direct opponent for the Bengals within the AFC North division.

Garrett's move to the NFC means he will no longer face the Bengals during regular season play as a member of the Browns.
