IDF Reports Strike on Hezbollah Commander in Southern Lebanon

Jerusalem – The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a strike in southern Lebanon on Sunday killed Mohammed Mouse Mteirek, identified as a unit commander within Hezbollah's missile array.

According to the IDF, Mteirek was responsible for directing hundreds of rocket and drone launches toward Israeli civilians and soldiers. The operation took place in the Nabatieh area, located north of the de facto border between Israel and Lebanon.

"Mteirek was responsible for directing hundreds of rocket and drone launches toward Israeli civilians and soldiers."

This incident is separate from recent warnings issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz. Those warnings pertained to potential strikes on a southern suburb of Beirut, which were linked to continued attacks on northern Israel.
