Premcar Develops Distinct Specifications for Mitsubishi Triton Raider and Nissan Navara Warrior

View source

Premcar is developing the Mitsubishi Triton Raider and the Nissan Navara Warrior as distinct vehicles, despite their underlying mechanical similarities.

The two off-road focused utes, engineered by the Australian automotive firm, are being tailored to specific customers with separate development teams and bespoke tuning.

The Triton Raider, based on the Mitsubishi Triton GSR, features a retuned steering system, Monroe suspension dampers, 18-inch wheels, and Bridgestone all-terrain tires. It also gains underbody protection and side steps. These changes result in a 25mm front and 15mm rear ride height increase, along with a 20mm wider track.

The Nissan Navara Warrior, based on the Navara Pro-4X, will also receive unique suspension tuning, a wider track, underbody protection, and its own specific set of wheels and tires. Both vehicles are powered by Mitsubishi’s 2.4L twin-turbo diesel engine, producing 150 kW and 470 Nm of torque.

"Separate engineering teams and specific tuning for each model's target customer ensure differentiation," states Premcar.

The Triton Raider is available for order now, with deliveries commencing in June 2026. The Navara Warrior was previewed in November 2025 and is scheduled to launch later in 2026.
